Bundarra Garden Festival (Nov 8–9, 2025)
The 2025 festival saw six of Bundarra’s most beautiful private gardens open their gates to the public, showcasing the resilience and creativity of our local green-thumbs.
The event was a major fundraiser for the Inverell Breast Cancer Support Group, proving that local projects can have a significant regional impact.
Uralla Christmas Street Fair (Nov 21, 2025)
On November 21, the community gathered in the heart of Uralla to celebrate the most successful Christmas Street Fair to date. The event was made possible through a significant NSW Government grant, specifically designed to boost regional community spirit and local tourism. The event was co-sponsored by ACEN Australia, the team behind the New England Solar project, demonstrating their local commitment.
Water Leak Detection Investigations (Dec 15–23, 2025)
In late 2025, Council engaged specialized contractors (Stripes Group) to conduct a high-tech "acoustic" audit of Uralla’s aging water pipe network. By identifying and fixing these leaks early, it reduces the cost of treating and pumping water that never actually reaches a tap, saving ratepayer money. The results from these investigations are now being used to prioritize which specific street pipes will be replaced or relined in the 2026–2030 budget cycle.
Bundarra Community Committee Meeting (Dec 17, 2025)
The committee met at the School of Arts Hall on December 17 to review a busy 12 months of advocacy and project delivery for the Bundarra village. A key focus remained on the Bundarra Caravan Park upgrades, including fencing boundaries and improving the booking/payment system for 2026. The committee continued its push for a 24-hour accessible Defibrillator in the village center, with ongoing discussions regarding support from ACEN Australia. The meeting concluded with a summary of the year’s achievements, reinforcing the committee's vital role as the direct link between Bundarra residents and the Uralla Shire Council.
